HUGOLO - HUGOLOOPS 03 (21/07/2012)

I hope everybody is having a great weekend. Yesterday I stayed at home so I decided to create my own party. So here you have the result of it, I'm really proud of the sound because know I'm starting to use new effects I didn't dare to touch very much and I'm trying new ways of mixing. I bought my mixer in October, and I thought that after one year I would be close to be an expert or something like that, and that's not true, you learn something new everyday and get new ideas to make things differently... But most of all you should like whatever you do and don't care about doing it wrong or not liking people.

Nice "Do you remember?" track to start the weekend! A few days ago you could hear "Drugs" remixed by Switch. Now we will remember another great remix in the same line that invite us to get ourselves high. I've discovered this track thanks to a list where @Bot, one half of Crookers, remembers some tracks from his youth.

[MIXTAPE #21] JACK BEATS - EVOLUTION MIXTAPE

Jack Beats is one of my favourites formations and their style is completely unique and here we have an special mixtape with a compilation of their creations and remixes. This is their comment to this mixtape:

Here is ‘Evolution’- a mixtape which we’ve made as a preview to our forthcoming release: ‘Careless’- the first of 2 mini albums we’re dropping over the next few months. We feel this shorter album format works better with our style of music, and that’s why we’ve decided to essentially split our album project into 2 releases, as opposed to 1. ‘Careless’ features new tracks and collabs with Diplo, Dillon Francis, Example & Takura, and drops on OWSLA (beatport only) Aug 7th, and then as a full worldwide release Sept 10th through Columbia. Hi guys! Some years ago I really didn't understand Twitter because none of the Spanish people was using it. Actually, more and more people are creating accounts and I think it's a new way of communicating different things and socializing. So, regarding to other's blogs I thought it could be useful and also funny to create an Hugolo Music account. You can follow me @HugoloMusic and discover new things that I won't post on the blog (in fact this solves a big problem for me because there's a lot of things I can't post and lost on the queue...). If you don't use it or don't wanna get spammed with good music ( =P ) you can find on the right a new box with all the tweets to keep up to date.

I've also added a new box at the end of the blog with all the tags sorted by number of posts to discover music easily (this was planned when I started the blog, but I've been waiting to get a minimum quantity of posts to make it really useful). Maybe you've also noticed that the Facebook box is also smaller (I've removed the Facebook post's feed because it really does not make any sense...) but you can still subscribe and you can also get all the updates as usual.

Blog's traffic it's increasing as times goes by and it really makes me happy of sharing music with afar visitors and I'm just trying to reach everyone that could had the same interests. So if you have any friend with similar music tastes, just spread the word!

RADIOHEAD - EVERYTHING IN ITS RIGHT PLACE (CASE & POINT Remix)

There's some tracks that you cannot imagine somebody could remix them in an electronic version. Radiohead's "Everything in its right place" was one of them, but fortunately, Case &  Point, an American brand new formation, has impressed me. [MIXTAPE #20] MAJOR LAZER - LIVE @ OPEN'ER FESTIVAL POLAND (05/07/2012)

This is an exclusive 90min recording (well, in fact I've just recorded it ;D) from Major Lazer's show in Gdynia, Poland, at Heineken Open'er Festival that was aimed on Youtube Live a few minutes ago. It was recorded with the highest video quality possible and uploaded for anyone who wants to discover Major Lazer's live shows where there's a lot of audience's participation in a great craziness of dancehall, dubstep or moombathon as it's usual when you're listening to Diplo:

Warning: I want to apologize because there's an annoying sound every 60secs that I don't know where does it came from, maybe some kind of Youtube antycopy system... I'll leave it public because there's lot of people searching for it and it's still tolerable if you're looking for this show, but I'll try to discover what happens for future recordings...
