[DYR? #4] DIPLO - SOUND AND FURY

It was 2003. Diplo released his first promo CD "Sound and Fury" which hasn't been published by any label. His style has evolutionated quite a lot and at the begining he was much more "lighter" and relaxing than he is now. This CD is a treasure for me and I compare it with DJ Shadow style. I'll leave the whole CD in streaming and also available for downloading via Torrent:

MIXTAPE #6 FELIX CARTAL - WEEKEND WORKOUT ep 9

Here in Spain is time to start the party, but... I don't feel like partying out tonight because I am a little bit tired due to some stomachache or something... I hope to wake up tomorrow ready to party! If you liked the two previous tracks I have posted today and you want some party, you should check Felix Cartal's mixtape. It's one of the most successful artists in my recently opened blog, but he must be proud too because his album "Different Faces" is out now and it seems to be working well.. TRACKLIST:

ZEDD - SHOTGUN

Zedd is one of the youngest and most promising artists in the electro scene. He is only 22 but he has already shared stage with the biggests. This German artist has recently released his new single "Shotgun":

BINGO PLAYERS - RATTLE

Dutch duo "Bingo Players" has recently changed his label. The first track they have published with "Hysteria" is called "Rattle": funny and effective bass:

THE LOOPS OF FURY - I NEED

I've met this Australian duo living in London thanks to "Hervé's Mixtape - Ghetto Bass vol 1" pusblished on this blog today, too. Great bass and great drop. I will keep an eye on "The Loops of Fury"

POISOUND - BABIES LIKE DRUG

More Spanish stuff! This great track has been created by Poisound, a sevillian artist that became popular after releasing a dubstep remix for Internet Friends's by Knife Party. During Miami Winter Music Conference Nadastrom played other recently released Poisound's track called "Bullfighter". Very nice sounds from my country:

Poisound - Babies like drug on Youtube

THOMAS BANGALTER - COLOSSUS (THE PHANTOM'S REVENGE REMIX)

When I'm searching my library to select "Do you remember?" tracks, Thomas Bangalter's (50% of Daft Punk) French house classic "Colossus" always comes to mind, but well, I'm really surprised that The Phantom's Revenge dare to remix this. The result is a "younger immortal track":

Thomas Bangalter - Colossus (Phantom's Revenge remix) on Soundcloud (download available)

MIXTAPE #4: MUSTARD PIMP - CATASTROPHE vol. 11

Here we have the latest sounds from the French duo Mustard Pimp. Great mixtape by this two guys which are consolidating his name in the electro world. [DYR#3] THE BLOODY BEETROOTS - CORNELIUS

This post wants to remember one of the first songs created by the Italian duo "The Bloody Beetroots". They really get very famous thanks to this song but much more because of it's videoclip, a really great viral campaign that was censored in many ways, and we have to recognise that it worked... If you don't know what I'm talking about i recommend you to refresh your memory:

FELIX CARTAL - HIGHER feat NEW IVORY

Good news: Felix Cartal has released his full album "Different faces" on streaming 5 days before the album is officially published at stores. The latest singles didn't like me much, but exploring the full album, I was really happy to found he kept some of the best tracks for the full album release. As an example: a great track that really defines Felix Cartal's style with indie group New Ivory:

Felix Cartal - Higher (feat New Ivory) on Soundcloud and Soundowl (Download)

Soundowl link (Download)

THE S - APOLOGY (ORIGINAL MIX)

Miami Winter Music Conference has started and DJ's and producers always keep some works in secret ready to be published while the most important DJing event of the world is taking place. The first hit I found is "Apology" by The S, an italian DJ-duo which sounds are really peculiar and you cand identify them pretty fast:

MIXTAPE #3: DIPLO - BLOW YOUR HEAD 10

This is the latest release by Diplo, probably my favourite DJ (it's really difficult to choose only one), but I don't know how he always surprise me with his mixtapes because he takes a lot of songs and new remixes that I love  and I use to pick for my mixing and put it all together. CHUCKIE - WHO IS READY TO JUMP?

Who doesn't know DJ Chuckie? The surinamese/dutch artist keeps creating hit after hit: as an example here we have this "Who is ready to jump" that as his name says it's dancefloor's dynamite:

Chuckie - Who is ready to jump? on Youtube and Zippyshare (Download)

HELLBOYS - ANGELS DON'T MAKE IT TO HELL

This is the first track published by the spanish duo Hellboys. They were resident DJ's in WTF?, a club session for Friday's night which adventure in the Madrilian's nightlife was short but intense. We hope they keep visiting our city (their shows were crazy) and releasing new work. Moreover, you can also now download it for free!

Hellboys - Angels don't make it to hell on Soundcloud (Also available for download)

[DYR #2] AC/DC - THUNDERSTRUCK (CROOKERS REMIX)

Here we have another piece of history. It was 2006 and Bot and Phra, which were not as popular as right now, released a very risky remix of AC/DC "Thunderstruck": a lot of people still refuse this song and don't know how could Crookers dare to remix in an electronic way such a classic... Hate? Love? It doesn't mind, but this song is also an electronic music classic:

AC/DC - Thunderstruck (Crookers remix) on Youtube and Zippyshare (Download)

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA - GREYHOUND

Here we go with the latest bomb dropped by the most famous musical trio: Swedish House Mafia. Axwell, Ingrosso y Steve Angello have just release an spectacular videoclip for "Greyhound" (it takes 1minute
the music to start and is a much shorter version than the track, but it's still worthy...). Get used to it because this will rock the dancefloors...

Swedish House Mafia - Greyhound on Youtube (Official Video) and Hulkshare (Download)

MIIKE SNOW - PADDLING OUT (WOLFGANG GARTNER)

This remix is the first production I publish from an US artist although his name may look from Germany or something like that. He is Wolfgang Gartner, but his real name Joseph Thomas Youngman, and he is remixing the Swedish band Miike Snow which is going to release their new album "Happy to you" soon. This is one of the various remixes for the album's first single.

MIXTAPE #2: LOO & PLACIDO - RETRO FUTURE SHOCK (vol1)

[DYR? #1] PENDULUM - VAULT

Well, I have an idea to also share some "old" music (in this blog I will try to upload releases with less than one year or so...), and I decided to call this section "Do you remember?". I haven't decide which publishing frequence will it have, but at least it would be once a week.

To open "DYR?" I have selected Pendulum. And to be more precise, I have selected the first released Pendulum's song in 2003 which success was the first step to become world-known artist. One decade has past but their sound seems to be unique and exclusive:

Pendulum - Vault on Youtube

METSI - MURFS

This is the first release for Metsi on Mad Decent Records (Diplo, Dillon Francis, Rusko...) and, to be honest, it's one of the best tracks I've heard in the last months. I will keep an eye on this polish artist that have just came into the scene.

Metsi - Murfs on Soundcloud (Free Download)

I NEED? - JUPITER

This is the first song I heard from I Need?, a belgian duo, but after hearing once I'm sure it won't be the last. I love that dirty bass style and it seems much more artist like their style:
At youtube info: Support by: Style of Eye, Crookers, Sound of Stereo, Fake Blood, Maxime Dangles, BeatauCue, Arveene & Misk, Sharooz, Keith & Supabeatz, Don Rimini, Ego Troopers, Mustard Pimp, Elektropusher, Polymath, S-File, Peo de Pitte, Casino Gold, Sovnger, Hoshina Anniversary, Turbo Turbo...

KAVINSKY - ROAD GAME (F.O.O.L. remix)

The swedish duo F.O.O.L (Fuck our ordinary lives) bring us a remix for Kavinsky's "Road Game". Really original: it sounds like "electro-opera". This two guys are really making new sounds and I recommend you to take a look to their job:

Thanks for your support throughout the years people. This is for you, free download to also celebrate reaching 1 million plays on soundcloudand 20.000 fans on our Fb fan page. Big love!

FELIX CARTAL - BLACK TO WHITE

"Black to White" it's Felix Cartal's latest release with videoclip included. This song is "softer" to what he is getting us used to and personally, I prefer Cartal's harder style. I track him a lot of time ago and I predict he will become an electro reference in not too many time...

CAMO & KROOKED: MIND DRIFTING AWAY (VIP DUB MIX)

Camo & Krooked: two guys are from Austria and they're well-known all over the dubstep world. This is my favourite from them, great melodic dubstep.

MIXTAPE #1: CARADENIÑO DJ - C.U.E.R.V.O

The first mixtape being posted at Hugoló Music is going to be (as I promised myself to promote spanish crations) the latest creation from one of the emerging artists into spanish electro scene: Caradeniño DJ. There's a great selection of electro-house/dubstep. PD: At 26:15 there's a mix of Daft Punk's "One more time" and LMFAO's "I'm in miami bitch" that I really love.

C.U.E.R.V.O (crown) at Soundcloud also available for download.

LMFAO - SORRY FOR PARTY ROCKING (GIGI BAROCCO REMIX):

This is the first track for Hugolo's Music. It's really difficult to decide with which song start a party, a mixtape or a blog... But well, you have to decide, so I picked one of the latest remixes created by Gigi Barocco. To be honest, I really love Gigi Barocco's creations (so, this won't be the only thing I will share from him...) but I really appreciate him because once I used one of his remixes in an old mixtape and "he liked" on Facebook. This is why he will "musically open" this blog:

FIRST POST:

This is Hugolo's Music first post. Despite this is not the first blog I've created, I really think this blog is different to all the previous ones I've ever had: this is a music blog and not a personal blog. So... there we go!
PD: to celebrate this new born we have Shakira showing us how to party hard with Skrillek!
